Twitter has imposed limits on the number of tweets users can read amid an extended outage. The company said that the limit is in place to “ensure that everyone has a fair chance to see what’s happening on Twitter.”

The limit is currently set at 6,000 tweets per day for verified users, 600 tweets per day for unverified users, and 300 tweets per day for newly registered users. Twitter said that it will review the limits “on a regular basis” and may adjust them as needed.

The outage began on July 1, 2023, and lasted for several hours. During that time, users were unable to access Twitter’s website or app. The company has not yet said what caused the outage.

The limit on tweet reading has been met with mixed reactions from users. Some users have said that they understand the need for the limit, while others have said that it is too restrictive.

It remains to be seen how the limit will affect Twitter’s user engagement. However, the company has said that it is “committed to providing a reliable and performant experience for everyone.”

This is however said to be temporary. This is a developingveloping story.
